My journey.
I started my path toward becoming a certified health and wellness coach during a session with a life coach. She saw in me a passion for meeting people where they are, people who are truly invested in growth, and helping them to make meaningful change in their lives. I received my health and wellness coach certification through Wellcoaches Corporation, a leader in the field of health and wellness coaching and endorsed by the American College of Sports Medicine.
Prior to my training at Wellcoaches, I received my master of arts degree in Biological Psychology from Lousiana State University and my bachelor of arts degree from DePauw University in psychology and Spanish. Throughout my formal educational training I studied the mechanisms for behavior change, both in humans and in animals. I have always been interested in behavior change; combining this interest with positive psychology and coaching psychology has been a natural fit.
The exciting part about coaching is that we get to grow together! My clients teach me something new everyday, and I value the experiences and strengths that you bring to our partnership. Seeing meaningful change in my clients' lives motivates me to continue to build my skills and knowledge to be an ever-more effective coach. I continually enroll in classes and webinars to hone my coaching skills and to be the best coach that I can be. As we work together, I value your feedback and needs; these allow me to continue my journey as a coach.
If it feels like we might be a good fit, please don't hesitate to contact me to chat some more. It's not a consultation, or a session, but a way for us to get to know each other better and to see if I might be a good partner on your journey toward better health and wellness. If I am, I will provide you with more information on next steps; otherwise, I'm happy to give you information on other coaches or services that would meet your needs.
Have a wellful day!
